Elli is 12 and loves music, singing, dancing, cheerleading, and anything involving her friends. She was your typical vivacious tween until it was apparent something wasn’t right. She was diagnosed with a Wilms’ Tumor, a malignant tumor in her kidney, that has also metastasized to her liver, lungs, and interior vena cava.
We delivered Elli her bag of fun right after she was admitted for a long stay of inpatient treatment. “Getting her bag of fun turned one of her worst days, ironically, her 12th birthday into her best day!” Elli loved all of the skill games and brainteasers and the IPod and headphones that allowed her to go to her happy place!
Elli would like to be an actress when she grows up. She will undergo treatment until December and have surgery to remove her kidney and IVC tumors on October 11th. Her family asks for your prayers, and you can follow her journey on her facebook page “Elli’s Army and Fundraisers”.
Elli’s bag of fun was sponsored by the BMA Foundation.
