Matthew is a wonderful 4 year old who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia after having a fever that wouldn’t go away in early 2016.
Matthew loves Power Rangers, baseball, and anything that makes noise. Getting a bag of fun allowed Matthew’s parents to “witness joy and laughter during a dark point in our hospital stay when he hadn’t moved or smiled for a while.” He loved getting his Kindle Fire, but also his Velcro baseball and glove because it “allowed him to play ball in the hospital, even when he couldn’t get out of bed!” “Bringing joy to families who are stuck for hours in the hospital with grim news is what makes this organization special!”, says Matthew’s mom.
Matthew is currently in the maintenance phase of treatment and hopes to start school early next year. His parents hope he continues to do well and grow to see a day when childhood cancer is no more!
