Tate is a fun loving 9 year old, who loves all sports but especially football and KState football. He has TCell Acute Lymphoblastic Luekemia (ALL).
When Tate got his bag of fun, he was in clinic for what he thought was just another “clinic day”, full of pokes, prods, questions, and headaches. What he got was a bag of fun full of toys and games and a San Diego Chargers jersey from Ryan Meuller, who played for KState in college. He also got a video greeting and locker room tour from Ryan!
Mom says the Nintendo 3ds has been invaluable during his hundreds of hours of traveling to and from the hospital. “It gives him something to do and forget all of the not so fun things happening!”
“When your child isn’t able to be around other children for long periods of time it can be heart-wrenching…having things to engage them in helps!”
Tate is currently in remission and in his maintenance phase of treatment. He is looking forward to attending all of the KState home games this fall!
Tate’s bag of fun was sponsored by the Visitation Junior Board.
